Session drawer and histogram
See this event among its neighbours in the monitoring session, read the peak-hold band against the trigger level, and step between events without leaving the analyser.
A ViB event is one trigger in a monitoring session: one deployment of one unit. The drawer at the bottom of the page shows the rest of that session so you can tell an isolated blast from a busy week.
The drawer
Click Show session timeline to expand it. You get:
- a timeline of the session's span with every event placed on it and this one highlighted, and a carousel of event cards you can scroll;
- Previous and Next controls, or K and J (← and → when you are not zoomed), to step to the neighbouring event. Full screen carries over when you do;
- View all to open the session page.
The drawer only appears when the session holds more than one event. The unit's recording settings for the session (waveform, peak vector sum or passive mode, pre-trigger and trigger level) are in the Settings peek tab of the full-screen workspace and in the event information.
The peak-hold band and the histogram
Above the timeline, the peak-hold band draws the largest motion the unit saw in each window of the session, per axis, against the unit's trigger level. Windows that crossed the trigger are the events; the count of windows over trigger is printed beside the band. Hover the band to read a window's peak and how far it sat from the trigger, as a percentage or, once well past it, as a multiple.
The band is derived from the session histogram the unit records alongside its events: a coarse, continuous record of peaks between triggers. It is what tells you whether the ground was quiet between blasts or whether something else was shaking the site.
Session settings and the histogram come from the unit itself, so they appear only when the unit recorded them and they have been sent to the platform.
